Violet Style and the Crown Chakra

Be creative in adding purple in your style.

Now that you have a little background on the Root Chakra, you know how ensuring its balance can help you feel grounded, centered, and happy.  I have also shared my thoughts on the Solar Plexus (third) and the Heart Chakra with you. Today, let’s travel upward to the Crown Chakra, which is connected to our spirituality, our divine self, and our source of higher power.

The color associated with the Crown Chakra is violet, a secondary color that is a blend of warm red and cool blue together. Violet and purple signify aristocracy, wealth, creativity, spirituality, luxury, passion, mysticism, awareness, and so much more. For the past 6-12 months, slowly day by day, I can feel the opening of my Crown Chakra. Sometimes it is so extreme that I do not feel human. I feel alive, powerful, awakened – my awareness is so clear, my body full of strength, my mind so sharp, and my life’s vision is so apparent in front of me. My ego is no longer affecting my decisions and I speak of nothing but beauty, truth, and love.

If you find yourself feeling aches and pain on your body, being indecisive about things, experiencing a lack of purpose, being out of balance with your life, and feeling depressed more often than usual, then your Crown Chakra must be blocked. Not to worry, there are many things that you can do to open up the energy of this chakra and get your goddess or titan vitality back. In addition to daily affirmations, prayers, deep breathing, meditation, and the use of essential oils, I have also included some other creative ideas in this post to help you apply more purple or violet in your life and open up the spiritual energy of this chakra. Soon you will be back in connection with your higher self and inner goddess. So please, keep me posted on how you do!

You will always find fresh touches of purple flowers in my home.

Even while on travel, I seem to see purple and violet flowers everywhere!

If you look, purple is everywhere!

I took this photo after a storm on King Street in Old Town Alexandria. It was beautiful and magical looking!

Make sure to add purple or violet in your cooking, too!

And when you see repeating numbers everywhere, it is a sign that the angels and the divine are supporting your spiritual journey.

22 Ways To Live A Spiritual Life

I love the energy of the full and new moon. It’s when I feel the most awakened.

Being raised in a strict Asian and Catholic family, “guilt,” “sin,” “anxiety,” “shame,” and “sacrifice” were the words that played importance in my life.  And then, I grew up and understood life a little more and to my surprise, I do not have to be a religious Catholic to be a good person. 🙂
I was very sheltered by my parents when I was young. So it cost me some great relationships, some mistakes made, and lessons learned to reach the life that I am currently living. In fact, by the time I turned 40 I was already living a spiritual life…and I did not even know it.
I truly believe an awake being is an aware being, and that is a person already living on a spiritual path.
Here are 22 ways to know if you are already living a spiritual life:
  1. You know who you are and what you want
  2. Love is the reason you exist
  3. You follow your heart and not always your head
  4. You listen to your intuition
  5. You believe in dreams coming true
  6. You love animalschildren, and nature
  7. You love inspiring others to help themselves
  8. You focus on the positives instead of the negatives
  9. You live everyday as if you may not have another day to live
  10. You love unconditionally
  11. You give freely without any expectations
  12. You live your life with only truth and nothing else
  13. You forgive easily and don’t hold grudges or resentment
  14. Your embrace your feminine and masculine energy
  15. You appreciate quality over quantity
  16. You take care of yourself – body, mind, and spirit
  17. You appreciate your alone and quiet time
  18. All your senses are heightened and awakened
  19. You engage yourself in many creative endeavors
  20. You believe that everything happens for a reason and there are no mistakes
  21. You are willing to confront your inner darkness
  22. You are constantly learning, growing, and improving yourself

6 Things I Cannot Live Without

Took this at Brenman Park by my house.  Love the rebirth of Nature.

When you think about what you really need in life – not what you want but what you truly need – could you distill it down to fewer than 10 things?  I have been thinking a lot about this topic this year as I continue to reflect on what I’m calling my “tu-anh year,” the year where I live my life simply for myself and discovering my true life’s purpose.

In that spirit, I have listed below the six things that I cannot live without other than food and shelter.  I try to incorporate nearly all of these things into my life everyday, from meditating in the morning to going for a walk with my beloved Nini in the afternoon to enjoying good and healthy food, friends, and family in the evenings and weekends.  What are the things you cannot live without?  Love to hear your thoughts!

1. Love – More than food and shelter, this is what feeds my soul and spirit.  We all need it in my opinion. When there is love, war does not exist.

2. Prayers/God – I don’t know what decisions I would make and where I would be if I did not have prayers in my life daily.

3. Family – I would die and do anything for my family.  This is where I feel loved, connected, and safe.

4. Music – I love the sounds of beautiful music. It brings calmness, inspiration and harmony to my world. It also lifts my spirits when I feel down.

5. Books – Knowledge is key. I learn a lot through reading.  I love holding a book feeling and flipping the pages of it. Since I am a visual person, looking at my bookshelves and being able to see the titles charges my brain. Digital books do not serve me that way.

6. Nature – I am so glad to be living where nature is just right outside my door step. I feel a sense of freedom when I am with nature.  Every place I have ever lived, I have always had fresh plants and flowers in my space. The air feels cleaner and fresher.

Well, what do you think of my list?
