How Balanced is Your Root Chakra?

The heart knows.

The heart knows.

You may be hearing the word “chakra” more and more these days as people are more open to holistic ways of improving health and well being, but the concept of chakras goes back for centuries.  The root chakra, associated with the color red, is known as the first chakra or “Muladhara.”  According to multiple sources, Mula means “root” and Adhara means “support” or “base.”  The element of this chakra is earth, and it is located at the base of the spine. This is where our grounding is, and building a solid foundation is essential to supporting our growth and everything else that we will do in life.

Just like a plant, the deeper and stronger our root, the more we will be able to endure challenges, struggles, hardships, and withstand rain or storm. When this chakra is open and balanced, we feel secure and stable in life, our bodies feel healthy and our minds clear and alert. We feel confident in who we are and are able to manifest our visions and dreams easily. I think that is why this particular chakra resonates so much with me.

To keep this chakra open and healthy, I like to have the presence of the color red around me, and to keep up my regular yoga routine, goddess walks, and dancing activities. How is your root chakra? Need a check up? Come by the sanctuary and I will help you find out. xo

Divine Summer Goddess Fashion

Angelic presence and divine energy.

When it comes to fashion styling, I am all about “less is more,” and summer is definitely my favorite season to style. It is the time to wear soft and silky fabrics that you can breathe in and make you feel as if you are wearing nothing at all – what a fabulous way to get in touch with your inner sensual goddess!

I have written in the past about why you are attracted to certain colors and about the reasons I love white. If you normally wear a lot of dark colors, why not take the summertime to try out some light colors for a change? Trust me, you will feel fresh and beautiful. Try one of our Italian silk tops or dresses.  You will not want to take it off.

Often we get trapped in the comfort of wearing black because it is safe and chic, but by trying out white for a change, I believe you will experience the uplifting of your spirit. You will feel the positive energy radiating out of your body and all those around you will feel it too! If you have not scheduled your summer goddess experience yet, make sure to do so. You will love it! Enjoy the photos of our regular goddess fans below.

Until next time…

Goddess Shopping and Designing in Mexico

CAPTION

From our Resort and Early Spring Collection, cotton dress made in India and hat hand-made in Mexico.

One of the things I love so much about traveling besides experiencing the food, the music, the people and the culture overall of the place I am visiting is the chance to shop for beautiful hand-made things. To continue raising my goddess vibration from my recent New Year’s Wellness Retreat, I have decided to go back to my Winter Sanctuary in Mexico at La Casa Que Canta for a work and play retreat. This so far has been so wonderful. I feel not only healthy and happy, but so full of life and creativity. I have been so inspired on this trip that I am creating a beautiful and goddessly collection of jewels that I cannot wait to bring back to our Goddess Sanctuary and share it with our style goddess fans. Here are just a few photos I want to share with you so you can experience a little of Mexico.
